Dr. Denneze Nelson

Vice President of One Peace Association

Denneze Nelson is a Program Coordinator at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Previously, Cofounder of African Diaspora Leadership Conference, a non-profit bringing people from Africa and Diaspora to address issues related to their development and wellbeing. Prior to that Ms. Nelson was the Regional Chairwoman for Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP), USA Non-Governmental Organization in General Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and in Association with the UN Department of Public Information Established in 1992. She also served as a founding Member of WFWP Guyana. Ms. Nelson has also worked at Family Federation for World Peace in various countries, including Guyana, Jamaica, London and USA.

As Ambassador for Peace, she initiated the Korean Peninsula Unity Project for Women’s Federation in efforts to promote peaceful unification. She has built a school in Liberia as an effort to service children who do not have access to schools. Ms. Nelson also initiated the Cambodia Foster Care Program supporting street children in Cambodia with going to school.

A clinical social worker by profession, Rev. Nelson has formerly managed the Somerset County, New Jersey domestic violence Residential House programs and continues to volunteer for the Intimate Partner Violence Program in the Department of Veterans Affairs for seven years. Rev. Nelson was actively involved with community trainings and public activities articulating the harmful effects of violence against women and children, posttraumatic stress disorder, homelessness as a result of such violence, unemployment and sexual trafficking of women and girls.
